Zaetara Spa was born out of necessity. With super sensitive skin, I’d tried all the ‘sensitive skin’ products and spent bucketloads in the process… but still had less than desirable results and in some cases the products made my skin much worse!
I’d just about given up when I decided to just go about making my own. Starting off with fragrance free, super moisturising soaps including one with oatmeal, soon my skin was the best it’s ever been, and I barely even needed to use moisturiser anymore!
While we don’t sell products for specific therapeutic purposes, we do make sure they’re ones your skin will love, and offer a range of fragrance and colour-free products alongside some scented and coloured ones to make your beauty regime just that bit more fun and relaxing!
We try to keep our products as simple as possible, leaving in just what we need to. Our range includes:

As well as being kind to your skin, we want to be kind to the planet– this means we:
- Choose our ingredients carefully (including trying to avoid adding things like palm oil, SLS/SLES, pthalates or parabens to our products)
- Minimise the amount of preservatives, fragrances and harsh chemicals used in our products
- Use reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging where able
- Buy local ingredients where possible, from local businesses to support sustainable farming and business practices and reduce the amount of travel our ingredients do before reaching us
- Appropriately dispose of any chemicals and waste used and created during manufacture (and waste-wise we often use soap offcuts ourselves and re-use label offcuts for kids’ craft projects!)
- Avoid animal testing — we’re the only animals we feel comfortable testing on, and with our super-sensitive skin if it works on us, we’re fairly confident it’ll work just fine for you!
- Use lab-made ingredients over natural ingredients when required (such as sandalwood fragrance given the WA sandalwood tree the essential oil comes from is endangered!)
And each product you buy from us is lovingly handmade by a small business in beautiful Northern NSW, meaning in many cases your bar of soap or batch of bath salts is fairly unique! So whether you’re turning your beauty and bathing experience into your own at-home spa or gifting to someone you love, we hope you enjoy these as much as we enjoy making them!
